Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing shared a series of teasers and an official poster of the upcoming Redmi K40 smartphone on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The smartphone will come with a minimal punch-hole selfie camera, flat-screen display, dual stereo speakers, and a revamped design. It is going to be an upgrade to Xiaomi's previous Redmi K30 and offer a bunch of upgraded features. The executive confirmed that the smartphone is confirmed to see the light of the day on February 25 along with Redmi K40 Pro.

Posted teasers show that the smartphone will feature a small center-aligned punch-hole cutout to house the front camera. It will arrive with a curved back, housing a single-piece glass camera with four sensors and a pill-shaped LED flash. The Redmi K40 design seems completed with a metal frame that goes around it. The images posted by Weibing on Weibo also provides a glimpse of its retail box.

In terms of specifications, Redmi K40 is expected to feature a Full HD+ 120Hz display. The smartphone will come powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will run on the latest Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. It will reportedly pack a 4500mAh battery for a compelling backup. The 5G enabled smartphone may ditch charger from the box following the latest trend.
