The Samsung Galaxy A58 has cleared China’s 3C certification. The listing confirms 45W wired charging, the same speed as last year’s Galaxy A57.
What the 3C Listing Shows
China requires every phone sold there to pass 3C certification before launch. The certification often reveals charging specs ahead of time. A device with model number SM-A5860 received this certification on October 30, 2026. That model number is linked to the Galaxy A58.
The listing shows support for 15V/3A and 10V/4.5A power inputs. Both work out to 45W. The certification also confirms the phone will ship without a charging adapter in the box, following Samsung’s recent practice.
The Galaxy A58 had already appeared earlier in the GSMA IMEI database in August 2026, under the model number SM-A586B/DS.
Same Charging Speed, No Upgrade Yet
Samsung has kept the A-series mid-range phones at 45W for a while now. The Galaxy A57 offers the same speed with its 5,000mAh battery. This means the Galaxy A58 will not charge faster than its predecessor, at least based on what this certification shows.
One detail stands out. The Galaxy A58 is expected to charge faster than Samsung’s own upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S27, which has not moved past its current charging speed either.
What Else Has Leaked So Far
A separate leak last month pointed to the Galaxy A58 carrying over the same camera setup as the Galaxy A57. That means:
A 50MP main camera
A 12MP ultrawide lens
A 5MP macro camera
A 12MP selfie camera
There is no official word yet on a battery upgrade. Some reports note that the Galaxy A38, a related mid-range model, recently leaked with a 20% bigger battery, which has raised the question of whether the A58 could get a similar bump. This has not been confirmed.
The phone is expected to run Android 17. Reports differ on the software skin, with some naming One UI 9 and others One UI 9.5.
When Will It Launch?
Samsung launched the Galaxy A57 in March 2026. Industry reports expect the Galaxy A58 to follow a similar timeline, arriving around March 2027, likely after the Galaxy S27 series.
