Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Variant to Arrive Before June 2019

South Korea is one step ahead of the world in the deployment of 5G networks compared to any other nation.

Last weekend, South Korea’s three major operators did indeed finalize the launch of 5G networks in the country.

SK Telecom completed the deployment in 13 counties and cities. Due to this company’s CEO Park Jung-ho was even able to use a Samsung 5G phone sample mobile phone to make the first 5G video call.

Park Jung-ho then added that the call was “clearer and faster than what was possible on LTE”.

Now, Verizon and Samsung jointly announced tonight that they will launch 5G mobile phones for the US market in the first half of 2019.

Although the detailed information about the mobile phone are unknown, Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal earlier reported that the 5G mobile phone version being talked about is the Galaxy S10 5G special edition.

In this week, Samsung and Verizon will jointly attend the Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii to showcase a proof-of-concept of 5G connectivity with the Snapdragon X50 modem.

It should be noted that Samsung has already launched its own Exynos 5100 baseband. It will be equipped with the Exynos 9820 chip and become the alternative for the Samsung S10 5G variant where the company can’t bring Qualcomm powered phones.
