Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro Get 60W Charging Certification

Samsung's next Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra have shown up in China's 3C certification database, and the listing points to an upgrade on the charging front. Both models are rated at 20V/3A, which works out to 60W wired charging. For comparison, the Galaxy S27 and S27+ already surfaced earlier with 25W and 45W support respectively.

The certification names the Pro as SM-S9570 and the Ultra as SM-S9580. Samsung's likely just carrying forward the 60W charging that debuted on the current Galaxy S26 Ultra, though the listing itself doesn't spell out full battery specs or actual charging times.

Don't Expect a Charger in the Box

Word from the certification is that Samsung won't be bundling a charging adapter with either phone. You'll get a USB-C cable, but if you want the full 60W speed, you'll need to grab a compatible charger separately. Both phones are also expected to support wireless charging, though nobody's confirmed the actual wireless speed yet.

There's More Coming to the Ultra Than Just Charging

Charging isn't the only thing changing here. Some recent leaks suggest Samsung might be reworking the Ultra's rear camera entirely, swapping out the current 3x and 5x telephoto setup for a single 4x superzoom lens instead. That one's still unconfirmed though, so treat it as a rumor for now.

Both the Pro and Ultra are also tipped to launch on One UI 9, and current reports point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro powering both higher-end models. Samsung hasn't officially locked in final specs or a launch date yet, so all of this could still shift before it's actually announced.
