Honor is a sub phone brand of Huawei. Honor phones are very budget friendly and reliable. Talking about Huawei Honor 8S, the phone is launched at 19,000 PKR price in Pakistan. We are doing its Unboxing and sharing our first impression with you in this very article. Read on to know what this Unboxing experience for Huawei Honor 8S is all about.
Unboxing & First Impression
The Honor 8S comes in a pastel aqua colored box. Not anything fancy and all’s simple on exterior. Let’s move inside and discover the phone contents. So as we slide open this box, the phone greets us. Black matte textured rear and crystal clear screen. The overall look is bold and in black so the vibes are strong. Apart the phone, there is a little user guide book, SIM ejector tool, hands free, Micro USB cable, Silicon Jelly case cover and a charger of 5watt and 1A
The screen is IPS LCD based and is 5.7 inches tall. Honor 8S is basically a 2GB RAM with 32GB ROM device which has a 13 MP Primary Camera with LED Flash and 5 MP Front Camera housed under notch. On right side of the phone, you find volume rockers and on left side, are SIM slots placed. There are 3 slot spaces which can be used for inserting 2 SIMs and also a MicroSD card. Charging jack and speaker notes are aligned on the bottom of device. Rear is, as we mentioned all matte and plain. The phone feels a little thick in hand and the frontal bottom chin is also thick.
Honor 8S battery is 3020mAh based which is average. The phone is a midrange device and its specs say so, too.
The Honor 8S is expected to be the successor of last year’s Honor 7S Smartphone. Anyway, it’s a mediocre phone with good specs in the price range its offering.

The Honor 8s which has appeared in the market at a rate of 18,999 PKR ensuring that you do not lack in receiving any thing mandatory and has added earphones and back cover under name of a gift for consumers in its phone box.
Design & Display
The phone is made up of plastic material and has the gorgeous textured surface on rear bidding farewell to glossy rear designs. On bottom of the phone you find a grilled speaker along with a USB port and a MIC. On the sides do you find volume rockers and power button. Mentioning of dewdrop notch on front is unavoidable so ya it’s there and completes the Smartphone look based on a screen size of 5.71 inches.
Coming to display experience, the phone is giving out a pro sharp viewing experience thanks to the 720 x 1520 pixels. Inside the Water drop notch you will find a 5MP frontal face camera housed in. The overall look is cool and really friendly to palms.
Security and Privacy
Honor has played well in securing customer’s privacy and them feel safe with their brand, honor. In Honor 8s you experience a similar kind of positive experience with face recognition feature. The phone lacks in providing fingerprint unlocking sensor however its face ID unlock works fast and accurately.
Performance
Honor 8s has got chipset of Mediatek Helio A22 technology with 32 GB of RAM and 3 GB of RAM. You get EMUI 9.01 with android Pie version of Operating system. Talking about performance it s worth mentioning that the low graphics do cringe a bit while playing PUBG on the phone. There lags that we experienced however game running and speed went smooth and alright, not to mention our chicken dinner at PUBG.
Camera
Camera is like every other mid ranging budget Smartphone and 13 MP based. The camera captures sharp details and has good color adjustment modes. Under this price tag, a 13MP camera with this good quality is worth appreciating so thumbs up for the feature. While frontal camera which is housed in the notch works very well and does not give that artificial look. The image results are as sharp as colorful and bright.
