Xiaomi Poco C81 Pro Specs Leaked Ahead of Launch

Budget phones rarely make headlines, but this one managed to slip through quietly. The Xiaomi Poco C81 Pro showed up briefly on an official listing by Xiaomi, giving away more than expected before being taken down.

What makes this leak interesting isn’t just the specs; it’s what the device represents. Xiaomi appears to be sticking to a familiar formula: reuse proven hardware, adjust branding, and push it into another market segment.

Not a New Phone, Just a New Name

Looking closely at the hardware, the Poco C81 Pro appears to be a direct rebrand of the Redmi A7 Pro LTE. The specifications line up exactly, from the display and processor to the battery capacity.

Xiaomi has followed this approach for years; launch a device under the Redmi series, then bring it to other markets with Poco branding. It helps them cover different price segments quickly without developing entirely new hardware.

Large Display with a Clear Trade-Off

The Poco C81 price in Pakistan offers a 6.9-inch IPS panel, which is unusually large for this price segment. Xiaomi has pushed the refresh rate to 120Hz, which should make scrolling and basic navigation feel smoother than typical budget phones.

Brightness reaches up to 800 nits, meaning outdoor visibility should remain usable in strong daylight. However, the resolution is limited to 720p. On a screen this large, that results in less sharp text and softer visuals, especially when watching videos or browsing.

Same Chipset as Before, With Known Limits

At its core, the phone runs on the Unisoc T7250 processor, clocked at 1.8GHz.  It also comes with 4GB RAM, which is enough for basic tasks like calling, messaging, and social media. However, heavier apps or switching between multiple applications will likely slow things down.

Storage goes up to 256GB, which is a strong point at this level. Users also get the option to expand storage via a microSD card, making it practical for those who store a lot of photos or videos.

Camera Setup Keeps It Simple

The camera hardware follows the same pattern as the rest of the phone; functional but minimal.

There’s a 13MP rear camera designed for everyday shots. It should handle daylight photography reasonably well, but there’s no indication of advanced features like night mode improvements or AI enhancements.

On the front, an 8MP camera sits inside the notch. It’s suitable for video calls and basic selfies. Both cameras support 1080p video recording, which is standard in this segment.

Battery is Where It Improves

Battery capacity is one area where the Poco C81 Pro clearly moves ahead of the earlier model. It carries a 6000mAh unit, which is larger than what we saw on the Poco C71.

This increase means the phone should comfortably last more than a full day under normal usage. For users who prioritize battery life over performance, this is a practical upgrade. Charging, however, is limited to 15W.

Software and Everyday Features

The device is expected to run Xiaomi’s HyperOS. Based on the Redmi A7 Pro’s software, it is likely to be a full Android 16-based build rather than a lighter Android Go version.

Other expected hardware details include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking, a single speaker setup, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.  These are standard additions, but they ensure the phone covers all basic daily needs without missing essentials.
