If you own a vehicle registered under the Sindh government, there’s no need to necessarily visit the Excise offices. The Sindh Excise & Taxation Department allows citizens to apply online for new number plates, including doorstep delivery options.
The first step to making an online application for an Ajrak Style number plate in Sindh is to ensure that your motor vehicle’s tax is paid and updated. Otherwise, the government will not consider your request.
- Visit the official Sindh Excise & Taxation link: https://excise.gos.pk/
- Type in your vehicle details regarding the current plate number and registration number.
- Click on the “Receive Copy via Courier” option to get the plate delivered at your home.
- Enter your required contact details, including your full name and mobile number.
- If you own a four-wheeler, you’ll receive a Payment Slip ID of Rs. 2,625 (including Rs. 2,450 of the number plates, Rs. 75 for service charges, and Rs. 100 for courier delivery).
- For motorcycle owners, the standard fee is Rs. 1,450, excluding the service and courier charges.
- Pay the PSID using Easypaisa or Sadapay.
- Print the PSID and submit it to the closest bank for users who want to submit in person. Once payment is successful, you will receive an SMS with a link to the invoice. Save and print this invoice for future use.
The last date to obtain these Ajrak-designed number plates is August 14, 2025, which was recently extended from May 15, 2025, after which further action may be taken against defaulters.
To check if your number plate is ready, repeat the earlier steps on the Sindh Excise website and check the “Number Plate” status.
