Unwanted calls and SMS for marketing or spamming are a headache. They disrupt the peace of mind by turning up like an annoying penny anytime and anywhere. Thankfully, PTA has considered the issue and allowed the Telecom users in Pakistan to block all such unsolicited communication by following these simple steps.
How to Block Spamming Communication?
To block spamming and unsolicited SMS / Calls, users of all Telecom networks in Pakistan including, Jazz, Ufone, Zong, and Telenor, need to send an SMS to 9000. Here’s the 100% working latest method 2024:
• To block spam calls and SMS, write a message in this format [spammer cellphone number][space][spam message received] and send it to 9000.
• The charges to avail of this facility are Rs. 10 paisas (inclusive of all taxes).
How to Block Unknown Calls and SMS?
If you want to block unknown or obnoxious calls and SMS from your Jazz, Ufone, and Telenor, hinder them by dialing *420# and follow the instructions. Zong users can block unknown Calls and SMS by dialing 420 from their handset.
How to Block Telemarketing Calls and SMS?
Those who do not want to receive the bothersome Telemarketing messages can register their number on the do not call register (DNCR). Follow the below mention steps:
• Type ‘REG’ and send to 3627.
• If you ever wish to receive the Telemarketing messages again, you can unregister by sending ‘UNREG’ to 3627.
The unwanted Calls and SMS are not just irritating but can also be treacherous in some scenarios. Users should never share their personal information such as account numbers or passwords with unknown Calls or SMS.
