Methods to Check SIM Owner Name and CNIC
PTA has provided several ways for users to check the SIM owner name and CNIC number of any mobile number. These methods include:
1. Sending a Short Code via SMS
Users can send “MNP” to 667 from the SIM they are using to get the SIM owner name and CNIC number of that particular SIM.
2. Calling or Visiting Network Service Provider
Users can also call or visit their network service provider to check the SIM registration status and owner’s name.
3. Checking SIM Owner Name Online
There are various Android apps and software available to check SIM owner details online in Pakistan. However, it is important to note that most of these apps are not approved by PTA and are not recommended. Under the current legislation, only five SIMs can be registered under one name.
