How to register IMEI number in PTA?
Register IMEI Number In PTA - IMEI is printed on the device box and also printed on the device for removing the back cover and battery. In order to register, the devices, write IMEI of your mobile and send it to 8484, to register IMEI Number In PTA, there are following ways a user can register the device.
Via SMS by sending the IMEI number to 8484.
Through PTA website.
Via mobile app specially developed by PTA for DIRBS system.
Before knowing about method to register IMEI number in PTA, you have to know about DIRBS or Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System. However, it is a newly launched system by PTA or Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. The aim of this initiative was to stop the use of illegal and unapproved mobile phones in Pakistan. Now, after the implementation of DIRBS, only those mobile will work who are approved by PTA and are bought through legal means. On the other side, IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and the authenticity of any mobile phone can be checked through IMEI.

1.) By sending IMEI number to 8484 through SMS
To check the status of your phone, dial *#06# from the dialer of mobile device, after receiving each 15 digit IMEI number (dual SIM), send each 15 digit IMEI number via SMS to short code 8484.It is noted that if your handset is a dual or triple SIM mobile then there will be two or three IMEIs respectively.
2.) Through PTA website

3.) VIA mobile app specially developed by PTA for DIRBS system.
