Before knowing about the method to register a PTA sim IMEI check, you have to know about DIRBS or Device Identification, Registration, and Blocking System. However, it is a newly launched system by PTA or Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. This initiative aimed to stop using illegal and unapproved mobile phones in Pakistan. Now, after the implementation of DIRBS, only those mobiles that are approved by PTA and are bought through legal means. On the other side, IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and the authenticity of any mobile phone can be checked through IMEI.

1.) By sending IMEI number to 8484 through SMS
To check the status of your phone, dial *#06# from the dialer of your mobile device, after receiving each 15-digit IMEI number (dual SIM), send each 15-digit IMEI number via SMS to short code 8484. It is noted that if your handset is a dual or triple SIM mobile then there will be two or three IMEIs respectively.
2.) Through PTA Sim IMEI Number

3.) VIA mobile app specially developed by PTA for DIRBS system.
