Saudi Arabia and Iran have agreed to have bilateral meeting soon at foreign ministers' level.

The understanding was reached during telephonic conversation between Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian.

In a statement in Riyadh, the Saudi foreign ministry said the two ministers agreed to meet soon in order to pave the way for the reopening of embassies and consulates between the two countries.
