(Another chain) from Thawban who narrated that: The Prophet said similarly, but he added in it: They said: 'What is the Khurfah of Paradise?' And he said: Its harvest.

حَدَّثَنَا بْنُ وَزِيرٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا خُرْفَةُ الْجَنَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَنَاهَا . حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى 12:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ.

اس سند سے بھی   ثوبان رضی الله عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی طرح روایت کی ہے، البتہ اس میں اتنا اضافہ ہے: عرض کیا گیا: جنت کا خرفہ کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس کے پھل توڑنا“۔ ایک دوسری سند سے ایوب سے اور ایوب نے ابوقلابہ سے، اور ابوقلابہ نے ابواسماء سے، اور ابواسماء نے ثوبان سے اور ثوبان نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے خالد الحذاء کی حدیث کی طرح روایت کی ہے، اور اس میں احمد بن عبدہ نے ابواشعث کے واسطے کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: بعض نے یہ حدیث حماد بن زید سے روایت کی ہے لیکن اسے مرفوع نہیں کیا ہے۔
