حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ وَاللَّفْظُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْنُكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْحِجَابُ وَأَنْ تَسْتَمِعَ سِوَادِي حَتَّى أَنْهَاكَ

Urdu Translation

  عبد الوحد بن زیاد نے کہا : ہمیں حسن بن عبید اللہ نے حدیث بیان کی ۔ کہا : ہمیں ابرا ہیم بن سوید نے حدیث سنائی کہا : میں نے عبد الرحمٰن بن یزید سے سنا ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت ابن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، کہہ رہے تھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فر ما یا : " تمھا رے لیے میرے پاس آنے کی یہی اجازت ہے کہ حجاب اٹھا دیا جا ئے اور تم میرے راز کی بات سن لو ، ( یہ اجازت اس وقت تک ہے ) حتی کہ میں تمھیں روک دوں "

English Translation

Ibn Mas'ud reported: The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said to me: The sign that you have been permitted to come in is that the curtain is raised or that you hear me speaking quietly until I forbid you.
