حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ النَّضْرِ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْيَشْكُرِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَتَى الْخَلَاءَ فَوَضَعْتُ لَهُ وَضُوءًا، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ قَالَ: «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا؟» - فِي رِوَايَةِ زُهَيْرٍ قَالُوا: وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ - قُلْتُ: ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ»

Urdu Translation

  زہیر بن حرب اور ابو بکر بن نضر نے کہا : ہمیں ہاشم بن قاسم نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں ورقا ء بن عمر یشکری نے حدیث سنائی ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے عبید اللہ بن ابی یزید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو حضرت عبد اللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہو ئے سنا ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر ( انسانوں سے ) خالی علاقے میں تشریف لے گئے میں نے ( اس دورا ن میں ) آپ کے لیے وضوکا پا نی رکھ دیا ۔ جب آپ آئے تو آپ نے پو چھا : " یہ پانی کس نے رکھا ہے ۔ ؟ ۔ ۔ ۔ زہیر کی روایت میں ہے ۔ لوگوں نے کہا : اور ابوبکر کی روایت میں ہے ۔ میں نے کہا ۔ ۔ ۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ۔ آپ نے فر ما یا : " اے اللہ !اسے دین کا گہرا فہم عطا کر ۔

English Translation

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) came to privy and I placed for him water for ablution, When he came out he said: Who placed it here? And in a version of Zuhair they (the Companions) said, and in the version of Abu Bakr (the words are): I said: It is Ibn 'Abbas (who has done that), whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: May Allah grant him deep understanding of religion.
