حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَحِلُّ لِرَجُلٍ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ عَطِيَّةً أَوْ يَهَبَ هِبَةً فَيَرْجِعَ فِيهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا الْوَالِدَ فِيمَا يُعْطِي وَلَدَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْطِي الْعَطِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فِيهَا كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ يَأْكُلُ فَإِذَا شَبِعَ قَاءَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي قَيْئِهِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر اور عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کسی شخص کے لیے جائز نہیں ہے کہ کسی کو کوئی عطیہ دے، یا کسی کو کوئی چیز ہبہ کرے اور پھر اسے واپس لوٹا لے، سوائے والد کے کہ وہ بیٹے کو دے کر اس سے لے سکتا ہے ۱؎، اس شخص کی مثال جو عطیہ دے کر ( یا ہبہ کر کے ) واپس لے لیتا ہے کتے کی مثال ہے، کتا پیٹ بھر کر کھا لیتا ہے، پھر قے کرتا ہے، اور اپنے قے کئے ہوئے کو دوبارہ کھا لیتا ہے ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar ; Abdullah Ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: It is not lawful for a man to make a donation or give a gift and then take it back, except a father regarding what he gives his child. One who gives a gift and then takes it back is like a dog which eats and vomits when it is full, then returns to its vomit.
