أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ صَاحِبُ الشَّافِعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هُنَّ لَهُنَّ وَلِكُلِّ آتٍ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ غَيْرِهِنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَنْ كَانَ أَهْلُهُ دُونَ الْمِيقَاتِ حَيْثُ يُنْشِئُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اہل مدینہ کے لیے ذوالحلیفہ کو، اہل شام کے لیے جحفہ کو، اہل نجد کے لیے قرن کو اور اہل یمن کے لیے یلملم کو میقات مقرر کی اور فرمایا: ”یہ یہاں کے لوگوں کی میقات ہیں اور ان تمام لوگوں کی بھی جو یہاں سے ہو کر گزریں چاہے جہاں کہیں کے بھی رہنے والے ہوں۔ اور جو لوگ ان میقاتوں کے اندر کے رہنے والے ہیں تو ان کی میقات وہیں سے ہے جہاں سے وہ چلیں یہاں تک کہ مکہ والوں کی میقات مکہ ہے“۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: the Messenger of Allah designated Dhul-Hulaifah as the Miqat for the people of Al-Madinah Al-Juhfah for the people of Najd, and Yalmlam for the people of Yemen. He said: They are for them, and for anyone who comes to them from elsewhere. If a person's place of residence is within the boundary of the Miqat, then (he should enter into Ihram) from where he starts his journey, and this also applies to the people of Makkah.''(Sihah)
