أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ،‏‏‏‏ وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو مَرَّةً أُخْرَى:‏‏‏‏ الْقُمُصَ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لِأَحَدِكُمْ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! جب ہم احرام باندھ لیں تو کون سے کپڑے پہنیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”نہ قمیص پہنو، ( عمرو بن علی نے دوسری بار قمیص کے بجائے جمع کے صیغے کے ساتھ قمص کہا ) نہ عمامے، نہ پائجامے اور نہ موزے، البتہ اگر کسی کے پاس جوتے نہ ہوں تو موزوں کو کاٹ کر ٹخنوں سے نیچے کر لے، اور نہ ایسا کپڑا جس میں ورس اور زعفران لگی ہو“۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, what clothes should we wear when we enter Ihram? He said: Do not wear a shirt (or shirts), or 'Imamahs, or pants, or Khuffs unless someone Cannot find sandals, in which case he should cut them (the Khuffs) so that they come beneath the ankles or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with ) wars or saffron.
