How to Block your Lost Smartphone - There are many ways to track your lost / stolen phone. But if you don't think this is helping, you can follow these instructions to completely block and protect personal information stored on your stolen or lost phone.

The Pakistani government had launched a website under the Citizen Police Coordinating Committee (CPLC) to verify, recover or block snatched or stolen smartphones across the country. More than 1 million international mobile device identification (IMEI) cellular phones have been snatched or stolen over the past decade. According to the website, there are four ways to track / block your cell phone.

First of all, you need to register your phone on the website and then follow the instructions given in the CPLC website to lock your phone. Here is the procedure to follow:

• Provide IMEI number. With other related information of snatched / stolen / lost cell phone

• The snatched / stolen / lost mobile phone information is then sent to the PTA to issue blocking instructions to all mobile network operators.

• Mobile network operators stop snatched / stolen / lost mobile phones within 24 hours.

• If you found online procedure is too complicated, just call the CPLC 24/7 helplines 1102 021-35662222 & 021-35682222.

• You can simply visit the CPLC website that is http://www.cplc.org.pk.

These authorities will need some basic information from you along with the IMEI number of your lost mobile. They then have the option to ask all mobile operators to block this IMEI on their networks to protect your personal information.
