Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي طَاوُسٌ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : بَلَغَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَنَّ فُلَانًا بَاعَ خَمْرًا ، فَقَالَ : قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ فُلَانًا ، أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ ، حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ ، فَجَمَلُوهَا ، فَبَاعُوهَا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے حمیدی نے بیان کیا، ان سے سفیان نے، ان سے عمرو بن دینار نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے طاؤس نے خبر دی، انہوں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، آپ فرماتے تھے کہ   عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو معلوم ہوا کہ فلاں شخص نے شراب فروخت کی ہے، تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ اسے اللہ تعالیٰ تباہ و برباد کر دے۔ کیا اسے معلوم نہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تھا، اللہ تعالیٰ یہود کو برباد کرے کہ چربی ان پر حرام کی گئی تھی لیکن ان لوگوں نے اسے پگھلا کر فروخت کیا۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Once `Umar was informed that a certain man sold alcohol. `Umar said, May Allah curse him! Doesn't he know that Allah's Apostle said, 'May Allah curse the Jews, for Allah had forbidden them to eat the fat of animals but they melted it and sold it.
