GB Scouts lift National Ski trophy

LAHORE - Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Scouts clinched the winners trophy in the 29th edition of National Ski Championship 2022 organised by Winter Sports Federation of Pakistan (WSFP) in collaboration with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at PAF Ski Resort, Naltar. Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Air Marshal Muhammad Mughees Afzal, who was the chief guest of prize distribution ceremony, also witnessed the final competitions of 29th National Ski Championship. Addressing the ceremony, chief guest Air Marshal Muhammad Mughees Afzal appreciated the efforts of PAF and the WSFP for promotion of winter sports in Pakistan. He also congratulated all stakeholders for successfully holding the mega event. The chief guest also awarded medals among the winning players. In the giant slalom category, Zahid Abbas, Mir Nawaz and Waqas Azam of Gilgit Baltistan Scouts were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. The 5th Snowboarding Championship gold medal was won by Khalid Hussain of GB Winter Sports Association, silver by Zahid Abbas of GB Scouts and bronze by Ali Hasnain of Hindukash.
