Hashim Amla predicts semi-finalists of ICC World Cup

Hashim Amla predicts semi-finalists of ICC World Cup

The former right-hander believes India, Pakistan, South Africa and England will make the final four in the mega event.

Earlier, former West Indies opener Chris Gayle also revealed his semi-finalists for the event.

The Universe Boss believes that Pakistan, India, England and New Zealand will qualify for the knockout stage.

The 43-year-old, during an interview, also said that since the India-Pakistan match is watched by the entire world due the rivalry between the two countries, players from both teams should demand a lot more money from the ICC.

"Whenever those teams [India and Pakistan] play, especially in a World Cup, the revenues they generate are humongous. One game can take care of the entire ICC event,” Gayle said.

The ICC World Cup 2023 will take place in India with 10 teams fighting for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.
