Misbah, Azhar to summon before PCB Chief Executive

Misbah-ul-Haq, the head coach of Pakistan’s cricket team, and Test captain Azhar Ali have been summoned next week for their uninformed meeting with the Prime Minister Imran Khan related to the restoration of departmental cricket.

According to the details, Misbah, Azhar, and Hafeez met the PM in September without informing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, Hafeez was not centrally contracted hence, PCB decided not to investigate him.

The details revealed that both Misbah and Azhar will meet Wasim Khan, PCB Chief Executive on Wednesday or Thursday.

It should be mentioned here that the meeting was initially scheduled for last week but because of the chief executive’s busy schedule, the meeting could not take place.

Ehsan Mani, Chairman PCB said regarding this matter that,

“The matter has already been referred to the disciplinary committee and action will be taken.”
