According to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement, the leg-spinner was taken off the field after bowling eight overs on Friday.
The board said that following the complaint, the 25-year-old was sent for an MRI scan further details of which will be shared in due course. It added that a medical panel will assess the MRI reports.Abrar has bowled a total of 27 overs so far in the game against Prime Minister's XI.The four-day game was scheduled as part of Pakistan’s preparation ahead of their three-match Test series against Australia, which is set to take place from 14 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.The Australian tour has always been very tough for the South Asian where they struggle to perform on lively pitches.Earlier, pacer Haris Rauf also opted out of the three-match Test series citing a lack of match fitness which created a lot of buzz and angered the PCB officials including Chief Selector Wahab Riaz and Team Director Muhammad Hafeez.
