Praveenkumar Sakat Singh or Praveen Kumar was born 2 October 1986 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India is an Indian cricketer. In first class cricket, he plays for Uttar Pradesh. Praveen Kumar had everything to become a domestic cricket legend: limited pace but ability to swing the ball both ways, persistence to bowl long spells, and an almost intuitive knowledge of how to take wickets on unresponsive Indian wickets. Kumar plays his domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. He made his first-class debut in 2004 and enjoyed success at this level by taking 126 wickets in 25 matches at an average of just 21.50. He is also one of the strike bowlers for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. Praveen almost jeopardized his international career by signing with the rebel Indian Cricket League, however decided at the last minute to finish his season with Uttar Pradesh.
