Shaheen Shah Afridi climbs in ICC test bowlers ranking

Hazlewood, with 822 rating points, ascended one position to claim the fourth spot, while Lyon, boasting 797 rating points, climbed two places to secure the sixth position. Jaspit Bumrah from India continues to lead the Test bowlers list with 867 rating points.

Hazlewood displayed his prowess by taking two wickets in each inning during Australia's commanding 172-run victory, while Lyon's exceptional performance led to a total of 10 wickets, contributing significantly to Australia's dominance at the Basin Reserve.

This results in Australia having four players positioned among the top 12 in the current Test bowlers rankings. Captain Pat Cummins holds the fifth spot with 811 rating points, while left-arm bowler Mitchell Starc secures the twelfth position, contributing to this esteemed quartet.

Starc, with 722 rating points, was only able to secure a single wicket in the mentioned Test, leading to a drop of one position. Consequently, this shift allowed Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi to ascend to the 11th place with 733 rating points.
