Karachi Kings T20 World Cup 2024 Squad

Afghanistan National Cricket team represents Afghanistan in the international cricket. The team is managed by the Afghanistan Cricket Federation now known as the Afghanistan Cricket Board. The board was formed in 1995 and became an affiliate member in 2001. That was the time when the Afghanistan Cricket team was formed. It has been a extraordinary journey for Afghanistan over the years. They faced downfalls in the initial stage and each time they struggled hard to achieve the glory. After rising rapidly through the World Cricket League, held in Division Five in May 2008, the Afghan team qualified for its maiden Cricket World Cup on 4 October 2013 when it defeated Kenya to finish second in the World Cricket League Championship. Afghanistan was confirmed as the 37th Associate Member of the ICC in 2013. In March 2014, Afghanistan was able to beat Hong Kong in the World Twenty20 2014 but could not make it to the next stage of Super 10 having lost the two matches to Bangladesh national cricket team and Nepal.
