Pakistan Telecommunication Authority launched the Device Identification Registration and Blocking System called DIRBS to ensure the legal use of all cellular devices in the country. If you are still using an unregistered device, then it is highly likely that PTA will block it. Follow this step-by-step guide to register your mobile phone with PTA mobile registration portal online.

PTA Online Mobile Registration

To register your mobile with PTA online, follow the given below simple steps.

Step 1

Visit the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's official website. There are three options in the top-right corner of the screen: PTA Home, DRS, and DIRBS FAQs.

Step 2

Click on DRS that stands for Device Registration System.

You will now be directed to a login page where you must create an account.

When you click the ‘Sign Up' button, you will be taken to a new page with a form.

Step 3

Fill out the form with your information, including your official name, email address, CNIC number or NICOP, contact number, and password. Your user account will be created.

PTA has sent you an email with a verification link. Please check your email address and click on it.

You will be redirected to the login page and receive the message 'Account Verified.'

Step 4

Enter your login information, including the username and password for the newly created account.

You will be required to apply for a Certificate of Compliance (COC).

You must enter the user type [Pakistani (Local/International Travellers/Dual Nationality Holder)] or [Foreigner (Traveled on Visa)] as you scroll down.

Step 5

Choose your mobile phone provider [Ufone, Zong, Mobilink/Warid, or Telenor] and enter your contact information. Enter the phone's IMEI number(s) and press the submit button.

PTA will now respond to your application via both the email address and phone number you provided on the registration form.

The message/email will include a unique PSID as well as information about the duty that must be paid.

Step 6

You can pay your bills using online banking or an ATM.

It can also be paid in person at any bank's branch, including the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Allied Bank, and Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB).

The amount paid will be reflected in your PTA account.

The authority will contact you within 1-3 days to confirm that you have completed the PTA mobile registration process.

Before registering your mobile phone with PTA, you must know the correct IMEI number of your device. To know the IMEI, dial this simple IMEI Check Code *#06# from the handset.

To check the registration status of a mobile device, SMS each 15 digits IMEI to 8484. You can also visit https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/ for an online PTA mobile registration check.
