Absar Alam is a well-known Pakistani journalist and TV anchor. He worked for newspapers and television channels. In 2015, he became head of the media regulator Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). He used his role to oversee broadcast media rules in Pakistan.
