Personal Profile About Ahmed Saleem
Ahmad Saleem also known as Muhammad Salim Khawaja was born a in the village of Miana Gondal in Gujrat District, Punjab, Pakistan Ahmad Saleem was the fourth among seven siblings. Ahmad Saleem received his early education in Miana Gondal before moving to Peshawar for matriculation. During his time in Peshawar, Saleem developed connections with writers and poets, including Farigh Bukhari, Mohsin Ahsan, Raza Hamdani, and Jauhar Meer.
After completing his matriculation in Peshawar, Ahmad Saleem relocated to Karachi for his intermediate education, where he enrolled in Urdu College. During this period, he participated in a competition organized by Afkar, a literary magazine, where participants were required to express their thoughts on Faiz Ahmad Faiz's poetry. Salim's poem on Faiz secured the first prize in the competition. Subsequently, he joined Abdullah Haroon College at the invitation of Faiz Ahmad Faiz, who was the principal at that time. Ahmed Saleem Passed Away
Ahmed Saleem passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2023 in the federal capital after a prolonged illness. Ahmed Saleem, the esteemed dramatist and poet, a disciple of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Ustad Daman, breathed his last at the age of 78. Until his final moments, he maintained his association with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute. Ahmed Saleem death reason is liver disease.
