Allama Dr. Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi was also known as Zameer Hassan Naqvi. He was a Pakistani Shia scholar, orator, poet, author, journalist, and critic. He delivered over 10k majalis and bayanat on Islamic history. He wrote more than 300 books. Notable works include a two-volume biography of Qasim ibn Hasan, the five-volume Meraj-e-Khattabat, and books on Mir Anees and the marsiya tradition.
He was Chairman of Mir Anees Academy, President of the Islamic Scholastic Institute, Director of Markaz-e-Uloom-e-Islamia, and Editor of the quarterly magazine Al-Qalam. His personal library was acquired by the Library of Congress as the Naqvi Collection.
