Annu Rani Dharayan is an Indian javelin thrower. She’s a two-time Olympian and the flag bearer for India in women’s javelin throw. She started professional training in 2010 at age 18, later joining a national training camp under Commonwealth Games medalist Kashinath Naik.
In Annu Rani biography, her breakthrough came in the 2014 National Inter-State Athletics Championship in Lucknow, where she won gold with a 58.83 m throw, breaking a 14-year-old national record. Over the years, she broke her own national record multiple times, reaching 62.34 meters in 2019.

Annu Rani medal record includes a bronze at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, gold at the 59th National Open Athletics Championship in women’s javelin throw, and silver at the 23rd Asian Athletics Championships in Qatar in 2019. This Annu Rani medal silver qualified her for the World Athletics Championship, making her the first Indian woman javelin thrower to compete there.
In 2022, she won bronze at the Commonwealth Games, becoming the first Indian woman to win a javelin medal at the event. She also won a bronze at the IAAF World Challenge Golden Spike Ostrava.
