Arif Alvi stands out as a prominent Pakistani politician and former dentist. He served as Pakistan's 13th president from 2018 to 2024. He practiced dentistry and founded Alvi Dental Hospital after studying abroad. He entered politics with Jamaat-e-Islami in 1979 but left in 1988 over differences. In 1996, he assisted in the formation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and served as secretary general. In 2013 and 2018, he was elected to the National Assembly in Karachi.
