Farhat Hashmi is a Pakistani-Canadian Islamic scholar, educator, and television preacher. At the International Islamic University Islamabad, she began informal Quran classes for women. In 1994, she founded Al-Huda International, which now runs schools, online courses, and diploma programs that have trained tens of thousands of women across Pakistan, Canada, the UK, and the US.
