Glen James Hansard was an Irish singer-songwriter, actor, and musician. He is best known for fronting the rock band the Frames and for starring in the 2007 film Once. He formed the Frames in 1990 and led the band for decades. He also performed with Czech singer Marketa Irglova as the duo Swell Season.
