Hamza Namira is an Egyptian singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist often described as the "voice of his generation" for his fusion of Arabic folk, indie rock and socially conscious lyrics. He plays acoustic guitar, keyboard and oud, creating music centered on human rights, hope, and daily life experiences.
Born on November 15, 1980, in Saudi Arabia to Egyptian parents, he grew up listening to traditional Middle Eastern music and later studied commerce at Alexandria University in Egypt. He launched his solo career with his 2008 debut album Ehkeelaha and gained widespread regional fame with Insan (2011) and Esmeey Akeel (2014).
His viral hit Dari Ya Alby amassed hundreds of millions of views, establishing him as a top chart topping indie artist across the Arab world.
