He has worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and with the BBC as part of their commentary team for eight years. His career as a commentator began at the age of 19 with All India Radio in Hyderabad. He covered his first test match for Doordarshan while working on his MBA.

He holds a B.Tech degree in chemical engineering from OUCT in Hyderabad and a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) from IIM Ahmedabad.
