Javed Iqbal Mughal, known as "Kukri," was a Pakistani criminal. He confessed to the abuse and murder of 100 boys in Lahore between 1998 and 1999. He surrendered to authorities in December 1999 and was convicted on 100 counts of murder in March 2000, receiving a death sentence.
The Javed Iqbal biography states that he was born in Lahore in 1961. He ran a steel recasting business while still a student. On October 8, 2001, Javed and his accomplice Sajid Ahmad were found dead in Kot Lakhpat Jail. It was officially ruled as suicide, and his sentence was never carried out.
