Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden is an American educator, author, and former First Lady of the United States (2021–2025). She is the wife of the 46th President, Joe Biden.
She built her life around teaching, writing, and public service while remaining active in education even during her time in the White House. She has taught English and reading in high schools, to adolescents with emotional disabilities, and at Delaware Technical Community College.
She has chaired the Milken Institute's Women's Health Network since 2025. She also authored a memoir, Where the Light Enters, and children's books like Joey: The Story of Joe Biden and Jill's New Job.
