Canadian professional football player Jonathan David was born in Brooklyn, New York, on 14 January 14 2000. He is recognized both in Canada and internationally for his goal-scoring prowess. and grew up in Haiti until he was six years old, when he moved to Ottawa. He first appeared for Belgian club Gent in 2018, moving to French outfit Lille in 2020. In five seasons with Lille, David scored 109 goals in 232 appearances and co-led the team to the 2020-21 title of Ligue 1. In 2025, he joined Juventus and had his season-long contract with them transferred to Atlético Madrid for the 2026–27 season. David also went on to become Canada's top scorer in their men's soccer history and was a part of the team that qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
