The show, like its cast, became nationally popular and well-known. Majid continued to star in the show until it ceased airing in 1985. Majid then moved to the United States, where he lived for the next 23 years. After returning to Pakistan, he resumed his career participating in Geo TV's Aamir Liaquat Hussain's show and the comedy show Khabarnaak.
