Abdul Qadeer Baloch was a Pakistani human rights activist and retired bank employee. He was known as Mama Qadeer for his father-like role in supporting families of missing persons. The Mama Qadeer Baloch biography tells that he started his career working at United Bank in Quetta’s Hazarganji branch. He became a leading voice for families of missing persons after 2009. He co-founded the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) and served as its vice chairman. He ran a daily protest camp outside the Quetta Press Club for over 16 years and led a nearly 3,000-kilometer-long march from Quetta to Islamabad in 2013–2014. He became a symbol of nonviolent resistance.

Mama Qadeer passed away on December 20, 2025, at Arya Hospital, in Quetta, Pakistan. The news was confirmed by VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch. His passing was mourned by activists and the public. People called his death the loss of a peaceful and persistent advocate for human rights in Balochistan.

Mama Qadeer death reason was a prolonged illness related to chronic liver and kidney problems. He had been hospitalized for about two months before his death. Mama Qadeer funeral prayers and burial were held on December 21, 2025. The ceremony took place in his ancestral town of Surab Kechi Beg in the Shaheed Sikanderabad area of Balochistan.
