Manu Raju is an American television journalist and Chief Congressional Correspondent for CNN. He was born on February 9, 1980, in Downers Grove, Illinois, to parents who had immigrated from India. He graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2002, where he also worked on the student newspaper.
Before moving to television, Raju spent years writing for print news outlets focusing on Capitol Hill politics, including Inside U.S. Trade, Congressional Quarterly, Politico, and The Hill. He joined CNN in 2015, quickly establishing himself as a key reporter covering Congress, national elections, and leadership battles. In 2023 he became the face of CNN's Sunday program, Inside Politics.
