Mesut Kurtis is a Macedonian-Turkish Islamic singer and cultural artist celebrated for blending traditional Middle Eastern melodies with modern Western production. Singing in Arabic, Turkish, English, and Kurdish, he is considered one of the leading figures in contemporary international Nasheed.
He was born July 31, 1981, in Skopje, North Macedonia, into a family of Turkish origin. He moved to the United Kingdom to study Islamic Law at the European Institute of Human Sciences and later signed with Awakening Music.
He achieved international acclaim with his debut album Salawat in 2004, particularly through the hit track Al-Burda. His other major releases include the albums Beloved, Tabassam and collaborations with artists like Maher Zain.
