He has also played for domestic teams Northern and Islamabad United. Mubasir was born on 24 April 2002 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His father was a field hockey player, and his elder brother, Imran Khan, played cricket for Rawalpindi’s U16 and U19 squads.
