Personal Profile About Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi
Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi is a Pakistani Qari and Naat Khawan. He is known for his Qur’an recitations and devotional poetry praising Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His famous Naats include Zahe Muqaddar, Faslon Ko Takalluf, Allah Hu Allah Hu, and Qaseeda Burda Shareef. His albums include Saba-e-Madina, Bahar-e-Madina, Madinay Ke Gali, and Panj Surah.
He began reciting the Qur’an at age 6–7 and became a Hafiz-e-Qur’an by age 9. He won Qira’at competitions in Malaysia (1969), Libya (1979), Saudi Arabia (1980), and Syria (1981). He has trained Naat Khawans like Umm-e-Habiba, Roshan Ara Samad, Javed Akhtar, and Khalid Hussain. He performed Durood-o-Salam inside Roza-e-Rasool in 1987.
