Rebecca Jarvis is an American financial journalist who serves as the Chief Business, Technology, and Economics Correspondent for ABC News. She also hosts and produces the podcast The Dropout, which investigated the rise and fall of Theranos.
She was born on September 28, 1981, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in economics and law. Before entering television journalism, she worked in investment banking and economic strategy.
Jarvis was a finalist on Season 4 of The Apprentice in 2005. She then worked at CNBC and CBS News before joining ABC News in 2013, where she leads coverage on global markets, technology companies, and consumer business.
