Ronnie Dunn is an American country music singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record executive, hailing from one-half of the legendary duo Brooks & Dunn. Dunn was born in Coleman, Texas, on June 1, 1953, and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he had an early love for country music. He performed in bands and clubs, then relocated to Nashville, where he became a member of Kix Brooks. The duo of Brooks & Dunn was one of the most successful country duos of the 1990s, with their songs reaching the heights of country radio and influencing modern country music. After a brief split, the two went on to pursue their own solo careers, with Dunn’s albums Ronnie Dunn, Tattooed Heart, Re-Dunn and 100 Proof Neon enjoying considerable success. Dunn and Brooks & Dunn were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019 and honoured for his legacy in country music.
