Ruchika Singh is an independent policy analyst and is currently a public policy scholar with The Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy. She holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and a Masters in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. Her research interests cover electoral-political reforms and governance accountability and transparency.
Ruchika Singh Jantar Mantar
Ruchika Singh was connected to a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party on July 23, 2026 at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Footage from the protest spread widely. Soon after, a complaint was filed. A Zero FIR was also lodged. Later, the matter was moved to Delhi for checking and inquiry.

In the viral clip, a woman was shown, with claims that she used rude words about PM Modi. After that, another video appeared online. In it, the woman apologized and said she was pushed by others at the protest. She also said she regretted what she did. Some parts of these videos, like who the person is and whether the clips are real, have not been checked in an open way.
Ruchika Singh Controversy
This dispute took shape after the Jantar Mantar footage drew sharp public reaction. Legal actions also followed. Then the situation got more tangled. Reports named the woman as Ruchika Singh. She said she was 15 years old. This did not match earlier reports that put her at 25.
Ruchika Singh Instagram
News sources report that a new Instagram account was being used to post videos linked to her name. The video that went viral in August 2025 purported to feature her commenting on the negative response and mentioning problems arising from the incident. Nevertheless, it has been reported that her identity in this video has not been verified.
Ruchika Singh Father
There is no credible information regarding her father that has been reported in the media and available information only claims that she was living with her parents after the incident took place.
