Urooj Mumtaz Khan is a Pakistani former cricketer. She is also a TV host, and cricket commentator and administrator. She also works as a dentist. The Urooj Mumtaz Khan biography states that she was born on October 1, 1985, in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed a BDS in Karachi and later earned an MMedSci in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
She represented Pakistan as a right-handed batter and right-arm leg-break bowler. She made her Test and ODI debut in 2004 against the West Indies and her T20I debut in 2009. She played domestic cricket for Karachi, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, and South Zone Women before retiring in 2010. After retirement, she worked with the PCB as Head of Women’s Cricket and as Chair of the Women’s National Selection Committee.
