Jabir bin Samurah narrated: The Prophet followed the funeral of Ibn Ad-Dahdah walking and he returned on horseback.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّبَعَ جَنَازَةَ أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ مَاشِيًا وَرَجَعَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

جابر بن سمرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ابودحداح کے جنازہ کے پیچھے پیدل گئے اور گھوڑے پر سوار ہو کر لوٹے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
